Kitsap SDA-WA Meeting Is Now the Surface Design Study Group

The Kitsap-area group recently changed its format. It now meets at Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN) Fiber Studio as a general fiber-art group called the Surface Design Study Group (SDSG). Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. To attend the group, you can register by dropping by BARN, calling Tammie at BARN at (206) 842-4475 x216 or by emailing registrar@bainbridgebarn.org. Attendees will need to register for the group every six months. Class Code FI010819

According to the BARN website, the fees are:
BARN Members: Free (Please register)
Non-Members: $24 for January – June 2019 meetings and must register.
Drop-in visitors are welcome for any of the individual sessions and can attend SDSG meetings for a fee of $20 per meeting, payable with cash or check at the time of the meeting. More info here.

Donna Lark and Susan Granstrom are looking for suggestions from the group for programs they would like to see this year. Contact them with any ideas.
The following suggestions for meetings have been offered:

  • Studio tours and potluck gatherings. Let Susan know if you would open your studio and home for a group gathering.
  • Visit the BARN Print Making Studio
  • Field Trips at Seattle Art Museum and Bainbridge Island Museum of Art
  • Travel slide shows and Show & Tell
  • Ice dyeing demo/workshop with Barbara Chandler-Young

Kitsap Group Surface Design Show
